The Alberta Teachers' Association (ATA) announced this evening (September 29) that their members have rejected the tentative agreement with the Teachers' Employer Bargaining Association (TEBA), with 89.5% voting against it.

This outcome authorizes teachers to initiate strike action as early as Monday, October 6.
