Golden Hills School Division is accepting applications for the position of CASUAL Assistant Dormitory Supervisors in Drumheller, Alberta. There are potential opportunities to advance to full-time in this position.

The Assistant Dormitory Supervisor will report to the Dormitory Supervisor Lead.

Main responsibilities include:

• Supervising dormitory students and enforcing rules, regulations, and schedules.
• Developing a rapport with international students to meet their social and cultural needs.
• Maintaining a positive dormitory atmosphere for students and staff.
• Ensuring student attendance at school and helping students follow curfew, morning, and
  cleaning routines.
• Supporting students with medical claims and appointments.
• Assisting with the organization and supervision of evening and weekend activities.
• Light cleaning duties
• Facilitating activities arranged by the Dormitory Supervisor Lead and Accommodations
  Coordinator.
• Communicating dormitory needs to the Dormitory Supervisor Lead.

The Drumheller dormitory requires 24-hour supervision from late-August through the end of June.
Applicants are recommended to be available for shift work, including nights and weekends on a casual, as-needed basis.

This position will include meals while on shift.

The successful applicant should be a suitable role model, have good interpersonal skills, be sensitive to different cultures, and enjoy working with children and youth. Experience working with children is an asset. A valid Class 5 driver’s license and clean driving record are required (a driver’s abstract shall be provided if requested).
