Golden Hills School Division is accepting applications for the position of Dormitory Supervisor in
Drumheller, Alberta. The position will commence immediately and will persist until June 30, 2023,
subject to an initial probationary period and with the opportunity to renew in subsequent school
years. The position will begin as casual with intention of working into full time. The Dormitory
Supervisor will report to the Dormitory Supervisor Lead.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Supervising dormitory students and enforcing rules, regulations, and schedules.
  • Developing a rapport with international students to meet their social and cultural needs.
  • Maintaining a positive dormitory atmosphere for students and staff.
  • Ensuring student attendance at school and helping students follow curfew, morning, and
    cleaning routines.
  • Supporting students with medical claims and appointments.
  • Assisting with the organization and supervision of evening and weekend activities.
  • Facilitating activities arranged by the Dormitory Supervisor Lead and Accommodations
    Coordinator.
  • Communicating dormitory needs to the Dormitory Supervisor Lead.
  • Light cleaning of facility.

The Drumheller dormitory requires 24-hour supervision from late-August through the end of June.
Applicants must be available for shift work, including nights and weekends.
This position will include meals while on shift, benefits, and a competitive wage.

The successful applicant should be a suitable role model, have good interpersonal skills, be sensitive
to different cultures, and enjoy working with children and youth. Experience working with children
is an asset. A valid Class 5 driver’s license and clean driving record are required (a driver’s
abstract shall be provided if requested).
