Golden Hills School Division is proud to announce that Khloe Watson has been awarded the Alberta School Board Association’s (ASBA) Honouring Spirit: Indigenous Student Award for 2024.

Khloe is a grade 11 student at Wheatland Crossing School who demonstrates perseverance, models leadership and shows respect and empathy towards others. Khloe serves as the 2023-2024 Wheatland Crossing Princess and acts as the Chief for the school's Chief and Council.

The Honouring Spirit: Indigenous Student Award recognizes First Nations, Metis and Inuit Students who model strength and commitment in pursuit of their personal education path and embrace their gifts, strengths and potential while celebrating the ways of their people.

Twelve students are selected for the Honouring Spirit Award from nominations throughout Alberta. It is with Khloe’s perseverance, exceptional work ethic, honesty and integrity that she has been selected as the Southern Alberta, grade 10-12 winner.
